  1. Can I buy direct from Omnistor?
No, as a consumer you cannot buy directly from Omnistor. However you can search for a dealer address in you neighbourhood (in the UK) via our dealer locator on the contact page on this site.

  2. Are the adapters for installation delivered as standard with my awning?
A standard set of adapters is delivered with every Omnistor 5002/5500/5800, 5102 and W-150.
The Omnistor 2000, 1000 and the Caravan Style can be installed in the caravan awning rail where possible, but you can also order specific adapters separately.
The Omnistor 6002, 6502 or 6802 are always supplied without adapters as the mounting system is different depending on what type of motorhome you have.

  3. Can I equip my Omnistor awning with a 12Vmotor afterwards?
Only the 5000, 5500 and 5800 manufactured until 2002 can still be equipped with a 12V motor afterwards.
All other awnings need to be specifically ordered with 12Vmotor. You can contact your dealer.

  4. Is a tension rafter always supplied as standard with the awing?
A tension rafter is supplied as standard with Caravan Style, Series 5 and Series 6 awning with lengths of 4.00m upwards.
You can order a tension rafter separately for series 5 and 6 awnings. Installation of a tension rafter on an Omnistor 2000 and 1000 is not possible.

  5. What is the best product to use for the cleaning of my awning fabric?
Your PVC awning fabric is best maintained with a mild PVC cleaner. The Omni-Cleaner from OMNISTOR is most suitable.

  6. I would like to buy a plain awning fabric. Does this exist?
A major part of our range of awnings can be ordered in plain RAL 9002, a very light grey colour. See our Omnistor catalogue.

  7. Can I still order spare parts for my Omnistor Light, 3000, 4000 or 5575?
All spare parts for the Omnistor 5575 are still available.
Spare parts for the Omnistor Light, 4000 and 3000 are not available anymore.

  8. Can I drive when my Omnistor Caravan or Omnistor Caravan Style is mounted?
For small distances at low speed, you can leave the Omnistor Caravan (Style) on the vehicle. For longer distances on the motorway, we recommend you take off the Omnistor Caravan (Style).

  9. To which awnings can I install a Safari-Room?
A Safari-Room is available for all Omnistor awnings except for the Omnistor Caravan, Caravan style and 5102 where we do not have one yet. Do not forget to indicate clearly the type of your awning when ordering a Safari-Room.

  10. Is a Safari Room a tent awning?
No, a Safari Room is not a tent awning. A Safari Room offers you extra space and also the possibly to sleep when the weather is nice.
Please note that a Safari Room is not an all weather tent and needs to be removed in case of storm. In this case the awning as well should also be wound in completely.

  11. Is a Safari Room suitable for winter sports?
No, a Safari Room is certainly not suitable for winter sports. Even a thin layer of snow causes a heavy weight on the awning. This can lead to serious damage. Moreover a Safari Room is not 100% water and windproof.

  12. Is a Safari Room standard equipped with a wind slip?
Yes, a Safari Room always has wind slips. There is a wind slip to the front panel as well as to the side panels.
Please note that Rain or Sun-Blocker panels haven't got wind slips.

  13. My old Safari Rooms is not long enough for my new awning. What can I do?
If the projection and the mounting height of your new awning are the same, but the length is different, you can slide one or more pieces of 50cm or 100 cm in the front rail and fasten it to your front panel. You can order this part separately.

  14. Can I order a separate side panel for my awning?
Yes, this is possible for all awnings except the Omnistor 5800, 6802, 5102 and Caravan/Caravan style - you can order a separate left-hand or right-hand side panel in light grey or in the colour of your awning.
On the other hand, you can order a set of two standard sides (in light) grey for an Omnistor 5800 in the most current sizes.

  15. Is there a side panel that I can use or at the left-hand side or at the right-hand side?
Yes, one does exist. A Rain-Blocker side is a simple side panel with a window - but without clips, mosquito net and windslip - that can be mounted at the left or at the right hand side. These panels are available for series 5 and series 6 awnings, for the Omnistor Caravan and Omnistor Caravan style, and for the Omnistor 2000 mounted on a VW T4.

  16. Will the rear of my vehicle be strong enough to install the Omni-Bike?
Most vehicles are perfectly suitable for installation of an Omni-Bike, but the present reinforcements in the rear of vehicles differ from manufacturer to manufacturer. Because of this, we advise you to contact the dealer or manufacturer of your vehicle, to locate the most suitable installation points.

  17. Can an Omni-Bike be equipped with a motor?
An Omni-Bike cannot be equipped with a motor. However, we do have an Omni-Bike lift, a model that is supplied with either a 12V motor or hand crank as standard.

  18. Can I easily replace the dome of my white Omni-Vent with a transparent dome?
Yes, the dome of an Omni-Vent can easily be replaced, without removing the inner or outer frame.
