The step is made of anodised aluminium with safe rounded edges.
The side plates are in aluminium as well (except for the manual 47).
Bearing surfaces are maintenance free. All steps meet the European EN 1646 standard.

A switch for connection to a warning light in the vehicle is supplied as standard.
